Dear badminton course participants and guests,

It's that time again! To round off our sporting journey, we cordially invite you to our traditional final tournament of this semester. Together with the University Sports Department, we are presenting a special kind of doubles tournament this time: a midnight badminton tournament in the popular ribbon format. So let's get the sports hall shaking once again and celebrate the (then) successfully completed sports courses in style!

What can you expect?

• Midnight badminton fun: Play until the late hours and show off your skills in a relaxed atmosphere.
• Ribbon system: A dynamic mode with several rounds (see Swiss system) in which you receive a ribbon after every game you win. Your goal: collect as many ribbons as possible! The pairings are drawn anew after each round, so you play with different partners (but always beginners and advanced players together) and against different opponents. Excitement and variety are guaranteed!
• Completion of the sports courses: Take the opportunity to use your newly acquired skills in an informal setting and say goodbye to your course instructors and fellow competitors or celebrate your time playing together.
• Fun and community: The focus is on having fun and socializing. Perfect for making new contacts and celebrating our badminton community.
• Little surprises: Let us surprise you with a little catering and a joint sports warm-up.

When? 18.07.2025 Time? 9 pm to approx. midnight Where? University sports hall, J.v.L.3 Who can take part? Everyone (beginners and advanced). Costs? see participation fee.

What you should bring with you:

• Your badminton rackets (if available, limited rental rackets are available)
• Sportswear and indoor shoes
• A good mood and lots of motivation!

Important notes:

• When transferring the participation fees, the following text “Badminton tournament SoSe 2025” and the name of the participant must appear in the purpose of payment.
• Unfortunately a refund of the participation fees is not possible
• Registration deadline: 02.07.2025. The number of participants is limited, so secure your place quickly!
• Late registrations on site on the evening of the tournament are not guaranteed and are only possible in consultation with the tournament management.
• By registering, you accept the conditions of participation of the university sports department. You also agree that pictures of you may be taken and used for the university sports website and social media channels.
